There is no such thing as boredom in retail. The day begins with preparations even before the official opening hours. I arrive early to make sure that everything is tidy and that there is enough stock on the shelves. Then I take a look at the weekly offers and check the right prices. As soon as the doors open, the hustle and bustle begins, customers come in and I’m ready for the customer consultation and product presentation.

I also always introduce customers to our service offers that they can take advantage of for certain products, such as delivery and the value guarantee. When the customer has decided to buy the product, I write an invoice with which the customer goes to the checkout. In quiet moments, I use the time to tidy the shelves and fetch the new goods from the warehouse. I then put them on the shelves and check or update the price tags. I do all that with our merchandise management system.
